When do you think we're going to see a surplus of 350s again?
The last two months has been killing me trying to find one at a fair/reasonable price ($2000 off MSRP) but so far no dealers would budge on price. I found a couple of 350s but it's not what I really want and in the long run I won't be happy and close to buying the 250. The dealers I talked to would not discount special orders either, some even said it cost more which is a lie. So when do you think they start mass producing the 350 again?

The demand for the 350, outside of CL members and 16 year olds spending their parents money, is basically non-existent. As I've said before, its in a price/performance hole between the G35 and the 335i, so no one who isn't already in love with the car really wants one. I think the dealers know this, so they, in turn, keep less 350s in stock, and the ones they do keep are ones that will sell (x-packages, non-nav, black, TP, white, etc.)
The reason you're seeing so many GS 350s is because the 430 is special order only for the 07 model year, since the 460 will be out in 08.

the gs350 is in low supply also. and if you're only getting 2K off sticker, there are better prices, i would negaotiate harder. the whole bit about it costing more to special order is BS, just thier way of trying to get more $$$. They just want to sell you a car on the spot and make the mot $$$ doing it. send me a message.

He has a good point though, and a valid one i think, since the g35 and 335i both make better arguments in their car class. Must be nice to have parents who will spend over 40K for a car for someone whose not even 18. Everyone has different lives and such but, do you feel proud of yourself to say that your parents bought the car for you? I knew people in highschool that got E-class and 5 series Bmws for their first cars, but who really f'cking cares? I knew people whose families had porsche 911 turbos, s600's, bmw 760's, etc etc. Irishman06 was just making a good point i think and you jus ad to throw that out, so we can be envious of you?

and why can't i point that out. maybe because youre not 16, but if you were me i guess you would be more affected by it. you can't just expect me to keep my mouth shut, you know? of COURSE im gonna call him out on it. im not even mad, im just like wtf, okay--THAT wasn't degrading.

FYI...Lexus always slows down production before new model comes out. It's a smart marketing tactic to maintain higher resale value on Lexus cars. Also to keep interest alive on higher end models. You know....like in almost everything else...the harder it is to get something the more you want it.
This way the dealerships won't have 50 of them collecting dust in showroom once new IS comes out. Instead dealerships are begging for more 350's to fill demand.
