Default &%*&! Probably going to have to sell my IS350

Well- I think the IS350 is going to have to say good bye-

My wife is 6 months pregnant and a rear facing car seat will not fit in the back with out moving the front seat almost all the way forward-

My wife and I are both pretty tall, and with the car seat installed my wife's knees are smashed into the dash board!

This is going to be our first child-

Im really bummed out about this- but my son/ daughter whatever it is going to be is my priority- (we are waiting to find out)

Wonder how much Ill get for my car- only 8000 miles on it-

You might be able to get like a longer/bigger or spacious car from Lexus and trade in your IS350 for whatever value is givein on it.

That sucks! If you dont mind me asking, why do you want a rear facing seat? I work for an online company that sell's baby strollers and car seats and the safest seat out there is the Britax Regent, it has a 5 point harness system and has been tested and approved by Consumer Reports. Let me know if you need additional info, I can get you 5% off...

Thanks guys-

CA law- have to have a rear facing seat until the child is 20 pounds- or 1 1/2 years old- or something like that-

I paid a little over $35,000 for it new, so Im hoping to get $29,000- $30,000 for it-

I don't know if the middle has the harness thingy, but I wouldn't put my baby in the middle just because I don't want to change a car...

If the center seat has the correct harness anchors, then wouldn't it be safer cause it's away from the doors?

IIRC, the center seat doesn't have the latch.

Are you serious? The issue is the size of the rear-facing car seat and not the baby.

I had the same issue with my TL. You really do have a couple options. The first being buy a shorter car seat. One that is pretty much dedicated to being a rear facing seat for infants will probably fit much better than the larget convertable ones that you can use as a forward facing seat as the child ages beyond 1 year.

Also, you don't have to use the LATCH system. Our middle seats have seatbelts and those are safe to anchor the seat in--just much more of a pain in the butt getting them snug--so quick and easy removal and reinstallation is out. Once its in there tight leave it be. Just don't plan on taking any passengers in the back with your seat installed in the middle.

Quick Reply: &%*&! Probably going to have to sell my IS350
