Im not sure if im right on this but I noticed that with diff brands of tint with the same light rating (i.e. 35% 20%) they often have different colors,and some look darker while others lighter still providing the same amount of light to pass through. Does anyone know what tint brand provides the darkest color, and good quality?

I know they have different colors for tints (i.e. smoky, charcoal, brown, and etc.) but by brands I am not sure. Smoky is a little lighter then charcoal. Brown you can get as dark as i think 2% or 3%.

im looking to keep it in the legal range 35% i live in texas and want the blackest color poss without dropping below the legal limit....the reason i say this ive seen that really expensive tint thats like 600.00 at the installers and i can stand next to the car and see everything inside...but another car with same tint rating 35% assuming different brand will look much darker.

both examples i gave both cars are black/black
