i think tqilla3k is having a ground problem. try grounding the dvd player seperately to one ot the metal dash frame members. there is no way the gps antenna plug has anything to do with the audio or video system. for example when you add a gs cd changer to a non cd changer gs you have to ground it to the frame or it wont work.

Would that not cause a ground loop problem (engine whine)?

Hmmm, you are probably right. I think that I have the Digital Audio cable connected to the wrong place.

I have an antenna from toyota.... aweful short, but I will give it a try. Does the GPS antenna have to be mounted to metal? I heard that on the 06 IS, it was on the front windshield.

Cool, I was just saying that you wont be able to find much info on a Navi install on a 2IS. If you do a search on it, most people will say "Cant be done"

here's is the navigation antenna location pdf. its on page 3. the gps antenna usually mounts on 2 studs on the dash frame member but the suds might not be there on a non nav car. in that case sit it on top of the airduct with gps facing up. thanks for the ac hookup from non nav to nav information.

Thanks for the help. I think I have it, I will try it tonight. I was confused, since the digital audio cable is so short and has a grey connector, I plugged it into the NAVI unit

Everything is done! The antenna is plugged in, lexusaudio was right, that was the gps antenna location. Strangely, if I donthave the Digital audio connector plugged in my car, I do not get any sound using DVDs. But in my cousins car, the DVD works fine. the Nav console realize that I am not using an ML amp, and will send out audio DD 2 channel. In my car is comes up as ML surround.

Here are the pics! I am having one problem though, the Navigation seems a little off. Also, while in Nav, the screen will blank out every once in a while. Is this because there is no speed sensor(nav hack)? or is it because I am using a 2006 toyota camry GPS antenna

In my cousins car, all we used were
the Nav console+ML HU
the Navigaton wire connectors
the J63 cable, which displays videos
GPS antenna, and GPS cable

All i want, is every function to work, MINUS the navigation.

HVAC, is really what i need mostly, since I already installed aftermarket NAV unit, with TV, SIRUS, I-pod, and Backup CAM (and i love it)....
