Before I bought my IS, I test drove on a 100+ degree day in the fall, here in So Cal, needles to say the AC was blowing full blast too, so I thought maybe they were a bit of a gymick. But whithin a few miles I noticed the seat ventillators big time...it was great...lets just say the lighter weight of the clothing you wear the more you will notice.

Oh yeah the seat heaters work nicely too.

My wife and I both suffer from Fibromyalgia and the heated seats are wonderful for it. Although, I'm very hot natured and in the summer time the ventilation of the seats does help from perspiring. It's much better than leather seats that do not have it. Personally, I'm not a big leather fan, but then again, I can't imagine "crushed velour" or any other fabric seats in a car like this.

I love them both. Nothing better than leaving the club sweaty and hopping into the car and having your back and *other* areas dried off pretty quickly

the heated seat doesnt heat up as quick as euro cars, but it still gets pretty hot. i really like the cool seats because it works best on days that you dont feel like turning on the a/c but want cold air.

well i personally think that the heated seats rock! they take literally 1 minute to get warm and like 2 to 3 to get hot.

and the cooling seats work best, i love the fact that if you are wearing a lot of layers or its there is heat coming in the car because of the sun, all u have to do is turn it up to 3 and u have this sudden ice box on your butt

but i wish they would have it for the back too

I think those of you who actually think the heated seats get really hot haven't experienced other heated seats in other cars, because by comparison, the IS is by far the weakest in this department.

I usually only use the heated/cooled seats to play jokes on my passengers, and they do the same. I never use the heated seats, as it is too hot for me, even on the coldest day my A/C will never exceed 74 degrees, so I don't feel like having an 80 degree butt. The cooled seats I will only use if I am driving long distances(like more than 45 minutes without a stop) and I'm getting a little sweaty. Put it on once or twice for like 30 seconds and I'm good. Otherwise it's not comfortable for me. IMO, the leather is comfortable enough for me so I rarely use the heated/cooled seats much.

I think it should be a law for all automobiles to have heated/cooled seats.
Let the cars have regular seats.

I agree the heat works much better than the cooling does. But here in Phoenix when it is 110 or so outside anything helps.
