I had a rattle near the drivers vent and left it with the dealer. The problem was fixed after I got my car back for about two months but now the original rattle is back along with what sounds like the whole right side of the dash above the glove box rattling.
I will probably wait for the 15k checkup before trying to get this fixed.

I have creaks and rattles in 5 places:
1. The infamous 'crack' sound emanating from the dash by the windshield
2. A pop sound coming from in front of the instrument cluster when I hit a bump head on.
3. Creaking from the center stack.
4. Rattle in the sunroof.
5. Annoying creaking from somewhere around the b-pillars.
Regarding the TSBs mentioned, I made note of two of them: TSIB NVH005-06, and TSIB NVH003-06, and will address with my dealer in a few weeks.

Could be this:
12/7/2006 - 2003 – 2007 model year Lexus vehicles
If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, the source of the noise may be the two windshield stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield area.
NOTE: Some vehicles have both stoppers and retainers while others may only have stoppers at the top of the windshield. Use the chart in this bulletin to determine the location of the windshield holding devices.

My car is currently in service for my nav [a/c frame] rattle. This is the 3rd time it is in service but this time they are replacing something. My service advisor had just informed me that they are ordering a part, in the mean time I get to drive around in the ES350. I am going to call tomorrow morning to trade for an RX.

Time to relive this thread.
I'm going to schedule my 2nd trip in for the CRACK. It's so annoying that I might sell the car. My problem is I spend 2 hours a day in my car and after 15 months of ownership I'm at 45k miles and about out of warranty. FYI, I have one of the last 06' built in June is250 MT.

I had this issue, took it to the Stealer and they immediately knew what the problem was and said it was common. They ordered some kind of dash/windshield kit to fix it. They had to take the whole dash apart to install whatever. It's fine now!

I had no noise when new; it started at approx 6K miles and got worse until it was very annoying. I also had a flutter noise coming from the driver's top HVAC vent/duct. The only time I heard the vent noise was when the fan was running and the vent was open. If I closed the vent, the noise stopped. They replaced the vent and installed the dash/windshield creak kit. I have whisper quiet now!

My 2007 IS350 also has the creaking noise, some where from either the drivers dash area or from the heater/nav bezel. Car has about 6900 miles on it, I have only heard this irritating noise as of late, as the temperatures have been dipping into the high 40's and 50's in So. Cali. I only hear it on cold days on bumpy roads. I figure I'll just ride it out into the spring time and see (hear) if the the noise goes away since plastics are known to have a slight change due to its temperature environment.
