Default Side Mirriors Light

Hi, when I make a turn on my Lexus IS 250 AWD the light doesn't lite nor blink. If I use my remote key and walk close to the car the light does come on. Is there anyway I can mod the car to blink while I turn? Any help will be greatly appreciated

If you are talking about the light under the side mirrors, they are puddle lights. It would be useless to flash with the turn signal, as they are not visible (except on the door and on the ground) when lit. An after market turn signal in the mirror would be functional.

If I install an aftermarket turn signal light, do I have to take out the puddle light?

Is it hard to install an aftermarket turn signal light? I have never done it before. And is there anything I need to know before doing so?

I am not aware of an after market mirror yet for the IS. Maybe try ebay? If there was one available it would be on here. The IS mirrors are unique, notice where they attach on to the car compared to other cars. Do you really want to replace it?

I think it looks cooler with the light blinking when I make a turn, I know a lot of sedan cars come with it but not this one. And also wonder how the mirror auto tilt down when I reverse, I know it comes with the luxury package, but I didn't get that

I also like the mirror marker lights. Especially the LEDs in the mirror vs the clear LED band on the outside of the housing itself. I personally would rather have the puddle lights though. I think the auto tilt mirrors are only available with the memory seats and mirrors (not after market). :-(

Hmm.... I went to that website and have 2 questions...

1. I thought they didn't have the "Lexus" brand in Japan. I thought it was called something else (like The Infiniti G35 is called the Nissan skyline). Am I mistaken?

2. Look at the model years... 2008 and 2009???

They have Lexus in Asia.

And someone did an aftermarket install of the side markers to the body of the car. You'll just have to do a search for it. It came out looking great but IMO the car looks better without it!

Man, post the link or the thread in this thread so anyone reading it can get to it more quickly! The searches take too long on this website and it really helps out to add quick references to your posts, or at least a copy of the pic.
