As a tech that has almost made that mistake.. cut 'em some slack. Maybe the kid was new and didn't know that you don't rotate tires on a staggered set of wheels. You gotta learn some how. Its just to bad they didn't think to tell him before hand.
The reason they probably didn't catch it the second time is usually noise problems are sent back to the last tech that worked on the car, and he wouldn't have realized his own mistake.. Boy do I remember those days...

my wife...who has owned her 08 250 for about a month knew the rear tires were wider and different sizes. I was telling her the story and she immediately said...."theyre rubbing because the rear wheels and tires are different size from the front!" Man I love hot blonde chicks who know cars!!!!

thats happend to me when i got the g-spider when i bought my car... they didn't pay attention that they are staggered and i drove for a day and cambe back and told them about it... they realized they had them switched at install. But sounds like you got some quality service issues in Manhattan...

15k service is a joke.. its a oil change.. no tire rotation for our cars.. and a air filter :X i know cause i work there.. piece of crap stealerships

sorry to hear and i hope everything has been resolved..u never know what happens at the dealerships lol...couple months back for my 5k service, i got my gfx lip ripped right off and damaged LOL..i mean its obvious and they got me a new one and installed it at no charge but still .. sometimes its just hard to believe professionals making such moronic mistakes

This happened to me TWICE! Once at Scottsdale Lexus, in Arizona. Once at Mcgrath Lexus of Chicago! Scottsdale lexus refunded my Oil change and 10K service. Mcgrath Lexus would not do anything! The guy said they dont see alot of IS350's in Chicago and the Technicians are used to rotating tires on a 20K service... blah blah I didnt have time to ***** to GM. The tires were ok, I only drove 5 miles.. You'd think I'd learn to check that right away, but not when you're in a hurry

That happened to me when I went in for 10k service a couple of years ago. when I called the dealer about it, they insisted that I was wrong. can't believe they call themselves special technicans. not only that, they put in a wrong oil filter (they put in a toyota six-cylinder oil filter) and gave me a wrong touch up paint (gave me a 1G0, a color for first generation IS300 instead of 1G1) which messed up the color on the car. I never go to the dealer for anything now. they just don't care about our cars but only interested in ripping us off. they only call themselves Lexus techcians but the ones at this dealership are an incompetent bunch.

This is sad, I hope it doesn't happen often. And the customer shouldn't be the one that has to find the error.
