manumatic mode- how fast is the shifting?

In the new is350, how fast does the car shift? Like when upshifting or downshifting? My GS350 is super slow when shifting. Example:when shifting from 1st to 2nd, theres almost a whole second pause b4 it shifts.

The paddles only control the maximum gear that the transmission will use, as such they won't actually compel an upshift. I suspect it's the same system you have in your GS.

I find with heavy acceleration and taking it to almost the red line, that the shifts are quite quick. If driving around town and attempting to use it as a standard, there is too much lag. I pretty much use mine for downshifting and occasionally on the request of passengers who are find it very cool.
