i totally agree with you! this is very true but if you can afford the car why sacrafice what the car was born to do? the car isnt that quick by any means.... but i say leave the car as is and cough up the 500 dollars to replace the rear tires when needed. realistically how much driving will you do? in the 2 years i had the car i replaced them once and i beat the heck out of it. the car handles like a dream around corners and you dont want to change that. what you want to be very careful in the car is it will come from under you like no tomorrow. get on the NSX fourums and read what owners have to say....either way both are very nice cars. one is a once in a lifetime chance in my eyes.

i dig the idea of getting an NSX + sub 10K car. i'm not sure if i would personally spring 21K for it in 2007. i'd be looking for one at $15K or less even.

i know it's a different idea, but what about having fun with the IS for another few years and picking up a future NSX? then you can have a beater IS,,, good beater!

Not to mention, the NSX can be daily driven too! A bunch of guys on the NSX forum use their NSX as daily drivers so it doesn't have to be restricted to just a weekend car

The thing with an NSX is that the price is coming to a halt. Its been about the same price the last few years so they definitely aren't depreciating, and if they are, it's by a very small number.

If I could afford the Alex Zanardi edition, I would love it as a daily driver. I'd keep the IS though as the grocery getter.

Routine normal tune up and repairs will probably be cheaper on the NSX than the IS250. For that matter I bet the insurance will be cheaper on the NSX as well. The only time the NSX gets really expensive to repair is if you have some sort of major breakdown, and not the usual routine maintenance. Lexus parts are expensive and even more than many NSX parts if you can believe that.

I too would also get an NSX and a cheaper beater. That is just my opinion. I had an NSX, drove it daily for a little while, then entered cars shows with it. I sold it to my brother, now I miss that car so much that I'm looking to buy another one.

The problem is there will be no future NSX made, at least anything like the original. Honda is out of the mid engine game for now.

I say if you can afford it (insurance, maintenance, etc), then I say go with the NSX.

You might be able to find a set if used 16/17s
or 17/17 off of the 2000+ cars.

I went with 17/18" 5Zigen FN01-RCs with Toyo tires....
looks killer with the Eibach/Bilstein combination
looks like 15 if you look real close off this 92

Maximus, 2003 vs 1992 with 70K I still would recommend doing the NSX if you know the history of the car. NSXPrime has an excellent FAQ to do research http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/faq.htm

My wife had a 1996 NSX-T (sold it with under 17K miles, so there are still lightly used ones out there) and loved it, great car.
