the nsx is a reliable car and if he gets a reliable beater then wats the problem? i cant believe this is even a question. and i thought the timing belt in the nSX is actually a chain not an belt.

It's a belt. Acura recommends replacement every 7 years or so. It's basically a $1200-$1500 job that includes the water pump as well. The NSX is extremely reliable.

Lol, not quite... 11 years is a lot of wear and tear on a car. Plus the 1997+ have a much needed power boost among other niceties, the 96 and earlier are 'fast enough' but are in need of that extra umph to keep up with most of today's cars. My modified GS (before supercharger) was just as fast as her NSX. An IS350 will be significantly faster than most pre-1997s, unless they have Comptech, etc FI..

She bought a Porsche 911 after the NSX... the Acura was always her dream car and never let her down - very reliable, but the car sat so low and was (comparatively) slow vs other newer cars. The Porsche is a much more comfortable car IMO.

Here's hers:

Vs a weekend rental we had, lol. Doesn't come up to the door handles.

Where were you when she was selling the NSX?

Should've intervened.

I like the Porsche better Although 9 of out 10 dentists have one... definitely get more looks in the NSX, but the Porsche IMO is a better rounded car.
