The latter is probably best but would be a lot more work. Unless you're willing to pull the calipers or cover the entire car, you will probably get overspray.

From what the OP says, it holds up to the heat so I would try the 'stick 'em' method. (I think he's exaggerating about the braking from 200 down to 60 on a road course but if he's been out on a road course, then he's generated more heat than 99% of us will on the street.) They're probably very inexpensive so if that doesn't work buy another set and do it the hard way.

I personally decided to paint mine because I just figured that if I was going to mod my 40K+ luxury car, I wanted the best results from the mods I did. That's why I changed my foglights to 3000K HIDs from PIAA Ion yellow halogens. I also had my taillights painted smoke rather than using the Aerotect overlays.

I WILL say that the overlays, PIAAs, and the stickers are WAY more cost efficient than the route I took.

To each his own...

All you have to do is stick them on and you're done.

Al - I am not exagerating 200 to 60 braking. I have done that about 4 times in my car...once was at an airshow exhibition where we raced an F16 (this was actually in my TT Viper that had the same stencils) and another 10 or so times in the Supra racing bikes on the highway late at night. I have done MANY 200 + mph pulls in the Supra. The stencils have held up fine on both cars...

I misunderstood. I thought you said you had gotten up to 200 on a road course. The only thing that can get up to 200 any road course I can think of is perhaps an Indy or F1.

The exhibition thing sounds fine but 200 on a public highway... I'm not trying to bust your ***** but no matter how late it is or how many other drivers are on the road, 1 little rock in the road could equal RIP. Be safe.
