When you go to build a base model 250 with no options on lexus.com it doesn't list that it comes with them, nor does it offer them as an option. All the other models do come with it though. I would figure all of them come with them though. So is it true that only the base 250 doesn't come with them?

I dont have HID on my 250. Mine came with premium package. I think you need luxury package in order to have the HID headlights

I wanted them to and had to get the luxury package...it was 3K extra. It came with the lights, wood trim (which I hate) and heated and cooled seats.

The Lexus website shows them as optional (under "Detailed Specifications")

There are two ways to get them...

1) Included in the Luxury Package (Code: LT)

2) Standalone Option (Code: HL)

If it does not show up for you when you build one at Lexus.com, that means the dealers in your region have not been allotted them as a standalone option and you'll either need to a) special order, b) install them aftermarket, c) get your car from outside your region, d) get the luxury package, or e) call around and see if you luck out at one of your local dealers.

from what i've heard, all 2007's that aren't special ordered will come with HIDs. you do pay extra for them but you have no choice but to accept it. it's just like the 18" summer tires... you're forced to pay extra for them whether you like it or not.

Thats what I was going to post...I called a friend that works at My lexus dealer (he sold me mine) and thats pretty much what he told me. When his dealership orders them they have them put in and thats the only way they sell them. They had alot of people asking for them on the 06 models thats why they decided to do it this way.

so basically I can order one with them as a stand alone option. Which would be a base price of 32,XXX+875 for the lights?

when i was building my IS on sites, the stand alone option would come up for HIDs w/AFS. then when i went to special order my car, the fleet manager and salesperson told me that the car i ordered will come standard with HIDs.

so go figure /shrugs
