They used the brand Madico.

They are in Anahiem Hills area. Called Visions Tint. 91 and exit Tustin. Between the 57 and 55 freeways.

I wouldn't consider getting tint without removing the door panels (myself). It is possible to tint them with the panels in place, but the wedges and tools that need to go between the glass and door panel will probably loosen things up, or even bend something. There's no question in my mind that it is the "correct" way to get it done right while also reducing risk of damage to the door.

Default Tint location Question

Anyone here from around the San Gabriel area know of a good place to get your windows tinted. I'm hearing prices of around $300. Is it legal to tint all 5 windows, or it only matters that its a 35% tint on the front in CA and doesn't care for the back? Appreciate your answers.

In CA it is illegal to tint your front side windows. Doesn't matter what %. I paid $140 for all 5 windows at 5% tint at a tint shop that has been around for more then 10 years. It's located in San Fernando Valley. Not to far from SGV. PM if you want the name and location

Tinting job Done!
I told the tinting guy to be careful with common mistakes that happened to other IS owners and he was already aware of those.
It was done very nicely, no melting door pillars, scratches or anything. They did a good job. For $175, I can't have a complaint.
Thanks for all your inputs.

You really won't know how well it turned out until you can roll your windows down. If you hear any crackling plastic noises, you know he didn't remove the door panels.

Hmm....
It's snowing outside, and cold in these days.
Thus, I won't be able to roll down the windows for at least a week, since it will take much more time to dry up.
I will keep this thread updated..

Remove the door panels, and fix it before you roll the windows down the first time.

Yes, don't do it...it looks tacky and unsafe to boot!

Why would you want your door panels taken off????? With a good tinter they should be able to leave less than an 1/8 of an inch from the tint to the top of the window and be able to tuck the rest in the window casing. You would think that taking off the door panel is more likely to rattle than just leaving it on and getting a professional to do it. I paid $315 for the best guy around to do my tint. He has tinted most of the New England Patriots windows i watched him do it because i am tring to learn to tint so i can expand my auto detailing business.
