Default Getting windows tinted tomorrow. Any advice?

Hi.
I'm getting my IS windows tinted tomorrow and I was wondering if there is something that I should be aware of such as common mistakes done by the shop and stuff..
Thanks

Yeah, UHEARDME is right, make sure the tint shop have experience in installing the tint with the IS. Also, if they offer lifetime warranty, make sure they give you a reciept. The tint shop that I went to did not give me one. I dont know if it was intentional, but their not honoring the lifetime warranty....

If you paid with check or credit card, you should still have proof of paying for that service.

EDIT: Just outta curiosity... can you get huper optik tint from a Sewell Lexus dealer?

Wow.. That's very good to know.
I should probably get my door panels off prior to taking it to the shop.
Is it hard to take them off? or similar to many other cars?
thanks!!

They said that they give life time warranty on it, so I will just take it in without taking those panels off.. too much work in this cold weather.

My tint install went good.

But when I got into my car, I put my car into drive and the passenger door lock started flickering. It wouldnt lock. So instantly I came back and told the guy about it. He immediately took out the passenger door panel and connected some wires. Everything was good after that. He literally fixed my car like in 4 minutes.

After me he started working on a brand new bmw 335. This place been in business for 19 years.

Check your back window! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=263520

Looking at it from the outside, and after the fact, I can see clear areas surronding the defroster and antenna lines, which of course creates this problem.

PS - I guess I gotta win the lottery to get a service apt at my dealer (they installed it) - been two weeks already

Why tint at all?. Look at all the possible problems associated with the process. Also tints look tacky and juvenile. Anyway to each his own and good luck with the quality and durability if you decide to tint.
