Default Pinstripe?

I visited 3 Lexus dealerships today in ATL and finally found the IS350 I am looking for at the 3rd dealer. Car has color and options I want but, it has pinstripes. Its the first IS I have seen with pinstripes and I do not want them. Is it difficult to remove them and are there any concerns about the paint if they are removed. Thanks.

Any concerns with removal as far as the paint is concerned? How are you liking the clear bra and whats the cost? Thanks again.

Love the clear bra vs paint chips. I think I paid either $550 or $600.00. I dont have money to burn, but I thought and still think it is a great investment.

Because the pin stripes are new, they could come off with no problems, but put that liablity on the dealer not yourself just incase.

i've seen like 3 or 4 2ISs here near Boca and JM lexus with racing stripes. ONe had pink stripe on a black car (it was a girl) and one was blue stipes on a glacier frost car, which i thought actually looked good

It's the stripe painted just above the door handles in this pic. I think Sewell in Ft. Worth puts it on all of theirs.

I've seen some IS's with pinstripes and for the most part they are pretty innocuous, and don't look that bad. Unless you really don't like the look of them I'd ask the dealer to deduct the cost of them, but I don't know if I'd necessarily have them taken off. It's not that big a deal to me, certainly not a deal breaker if it was the car I wanted. But there is a real hatred for pinstripes on the IS, guess they are looked at as for the 'old' set.

Dealbreaker for me and I am the one buying the car. Much easier to put on than off and the dealer should not add them unless the buyer requests. Could cost one of my 4 dealers in ATL a sale!
