Is 350 (not 250) with X or sport pkg rare?
Seems like very few 350's have the X or sport package. Is that because consumers don't want it? Do people want these packages for 350's but can't get them? I see 250's are posted with X/sport but not 350. Am I making a mistake by pushing for either package? I only want a 350.
I drive an S2000. Prior to the S2000 I had a 95 M3. I love tight suspensions.
Most high end cars have a sport option that sells in high volume so there must be a market.
Help me understand this mystery.

It depends on regional allocations.
Some areas have them, some don't. You may have to find allocations from other regions and wait, or Special Order it and wait.
The best thing to do is call/e-mail as many dealerships as possibles, and confirm that "they have it," not "they're going to get it."
I know that, here in SoCal, the X-Package is pretty rare, although Sports packages are common.
Good luck with the search.

The x-package was designed as cheaper alternative for IS250 buyers who do not want to shell out the full price for the sports package. Since the target market for IS350 are supposed to be wealthier buyers, it does not make sense to equipe IS350's with a "less expensive" version of the Sports Package. The front lip and wheels were just to distinguish it from the full sports package.
If it's the wheels / front lip you want just get them from lexus-parts.com

Since you've asked this question in several threads during the past month, and been answered, I'm not sure what the mystery is.
As I posted to you, there is a 350 Sport Package coming into the Tampa area this month, but I don't know which of the two dealerships is getting it. Also, as I told you, JM Lexus in Margate, FL had several 350 Sport Package cars in inventory last month.
Consumers either don't often want it, or just can't easily get it. Lexus aims at the livery market, for the most part. Do a bit more homework with SoFL dealers and you'll get what you're looking for.
