Clear Bra Pics
#2
Pics won't really show the clear bra that well (hence, the clear part...).
It's best to find someone who has one on their car, or call an installer and ask if you can check out a car that just got one put on (although it's best to let the bra dry for a couple of days, in case it looks "wet").
No matter what, a clear bra saves you the trouble of fixing paint chips in the (near) future...

Just go and get one before it's too late and you have chips on your front bumper. I completely recommend them. Just make sure you get it done a the good shop. Make sure they will refund you the cost of the whole thing if you don't like it. If they can't promise you that run out the door. A good shop will offer that.

Here is a pic of my Tungsten Perl IS 350 with 3M clear bra. It's on the hood about 14in up, on the front bumper, side mirrors and near rear doors where it scoops out a little.
I tried to take the pic so you could see the line, otherwise you wouldn't see it in the picture. Notice you don't even see it on the bumper.
The only time I remember the bra is on my car is when I wash it. No one has noticed it looking straight at it. I always have to point it out. Believe me, it's saved my front bumper and hood MANY times. I do alot of highway driving. I also had it put on the same day I got the car.

Has anyone had the clear bra installed after the front already has some chips? I really don't like the look of them, but my front bumper is taking a beating. The Los Angeles roads really wreak havoc on the stock finish.
I was thinking about having one installed on the bumper only...that's where most the damage is showing up. The hood is OK-a few chips, but I really don't like the clear bra on the hood. Especially with as nice as the paint is on the hood.

You guys could go to a bodyshop and get the chips touched up and wetsanded+buffed out, then install the Clear-bra. Would be nearly undetectable at that point.
