Paintless dent removal is the best solution as far as I am concerned. I do not like side moldings on the IS and why would you think where the molding is is the only place a dent could happen? Cars and trucks come in all sizes and shapes with doors that can nail you anywhere.

That's what I'm leaning toward at.

Got a quote: $500 to fix. And my deductible is $500. Oh well...

By the way, have you read Edgar Allen Poe's "Black Cat"?

$500? Sorry to hear that. IIRC, my other car had an estimate about that much (which is why I just lived with it).

The Black Cat - lol? No way my foe would be found in a wall.. It simply disappeared . <kidding again... who would do harm to a cat for wrecking their car? >

For those of you complaining about cat scratches on your IS, this is a solution.

i just got my first door ding yesterday, it's pretty bad... one of the worst ones i've had on any car. I'll be calling the dent repair guy i've used in the past tomorrow. I wish I could get my hands on the dumb a$$ who did this to my car...

Dumb *** or Jack ***? Don't get the 2 confused. It doesn't take a dumb *** to ding another car's door. but it does takes a jack *** to drive away without reconciling the damage.
