Color matched emblems
#5
i was looking into this, and have a friend who, owns body shop, willing to paint mine for free. I thought making everything on the car black is just tacky. I am currently going through the process of getting my emblems black chromed.
it is going to end up costing me much more than $175 though.
ooh and for anyone who is interested in removing their ISx50 emblem (not pinned) and being able to align and space the letters PERFECTLY, i will be posting a trick i recently thought up.
it works awesome, way better than just blue masking tape around it. it cost only about $1.50 to make sure all of the lettering is exactly the way it was out of the factory.
ok i can't wait, go buy a block of the green foam stuff florists use to make a flower arrangement from a craft store. use it as a mold, and press it against the emblem while still on the car. then mark the location of the box with crayon (or tape) on your car. when you go to put the emblems back on... tape your adhesive to each piece, leaving the backing on the tape. put the letter in it's corresponding spot in the foam, (put some auto wax inside the foam so the emblem doesn't fall out) remove all the tape backings and shove the entire ISx50 emblem back on your ride once you lined up the foam to your outline!
