According to the Lexus techs at work, that lower section with the CD player is considered the headunit, everything else works off it, so if you unplug it and get rid of it, the radio doesnt work.
But Ive got,it firgired out now, I relocate that lower section to the glove box, Ive got a replacement for the lower section from Amazon that allows a sogle Din radio to be put there, it even matches the color of the center section, then I will install some subs in the trunk, found a sub enclosure for the IS on Ebay, then I will imstall 2 Amps, the amp I use for the main speakers, I can pick up the speaker wires right there at the factory amp thats already in the trunk, then I will have my custom audio system, if the factory speakers cant handle it, I will replace them

Veleoray,
Once I put the new headunit in, up front all I have to,wire up,is the power, ground, memory power ect., And run The RCA cables tomthe trunk for the amps, I will unplug the speaker wires from the factory amp,in the truck and make me up a pigtail to plug into the factory speaker wires, the factory radio will still be there in a sense, but it will just be unused in the glovebox to keep my a/c functionimg

IC. So you're keeping the stock stereo intact just for the A/C. Then you'll install a new amp and plug the stock speaker wire inputs into your new amp.
Great! Please report back on your progress.
