Hi guys im new here but ive been lurking for a long time now. I've decided to go ahead and purchase the 350 but my dealer told me they searched the whole country and there are no blk sap pearl is350 on black with nav to be found. Are they bsing with me in order for me pick one off their lot? if any of you can point out this specific car at your local dealer for me would be great. The last thing i want to do is make a special order. Thanks

Don't trust your dealership. Search for the car YOURSELF!

That's the story they tell you when they can't trade the car from other dealerships. Reason is simple, when they asked the other dealership, the other side would know right away that someone is looking. They would then hold on to the car and wait for the buyer to come find them.

It's a very very common tactic.

thanks for the quick reply Wai. Yeah, that's what im trying to do with 3 dealers i have in my state but no luck whatsoever. I guess i'll have to try the houston area next. if not i might have to settle for sgm/blk like yours

i just bought a used '06 black on black IS350 w/ NAV/ML and Sports package over the weekend and the guy that purchases cars for them told me the same thing...i've found plenty of black on blacks, but not with NAV/ML and/or the Sports package...but then again i'm in the midwest and i think all the dealerships here only have the IS250/IS350s with Luxury package and NAV but no ML - those have to be ordered from the factory...i really didn't want the Luxury though, i can't stand the wood accents

I had a hard time finding my BlkSaph-Platinum w/ Nav 350 as well. My Austin dealer didn't help at all to actually go out find what I wanted, but the dealer in San Antonio did a search and found it within a month, and at a reasonable price as well. Just got it 3 weeks ago.

BTW, they had to trade it in from the dealer in Baton Rouge. So, they ARE out there, just a rare color combo. Good luck; I'm loving the color.

I did look around here in chicago area the same way. The all told me special order. I was all set to settle and get a black sapphire 250... but i manage to use it to my advantage with another dealer who cut me a deal on the tungsten pearl 350 by being stubborn. Obviously not my first choice in color but hell its a 3 fifty! I am happy. I usually go with dark cars but the "silver" has grown on me and definitly not something i am obsessed with, besides i am in the car not on it
but yes black sapphire is gorgeous and if you are willing to wait... do it. If one showed up with equal or a few extra miles than mine in the next year.. i would probably trade... call me crazy...
