"B pillar" wind noise
Hello my IS has wind noise in both "B pillars" when I drive up to 120 km/h and I tried to seal the doors, the handles, the windos and the noise keep on. Has anybody this problem? Have you solve it?
Thanks in advance

I also have wind noise coming from what seems to be the passenger B-pillar. I think I found the problem on mine. The hood cowel wasn't snapped in all the way by the corner of the front passanger windshield. There is a little piece of plastic that was a little popped up. I snapped it back in and went for a drive and the noise was gone. After a while it popped out again, might have to take it to the dealer and have them replace of fix that piece.

Could you put a photo of it, please? If you haven't a photo, could you paint in any photo the hood cowel? I don't understand "hood cowel". I'm sorry, I am from Spain
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance. I'm trying to solve this annoying problem. I have tried all. I sealed the doors with 3M insulating tape, the front window, the rear window and the side window too. I tried to closed the side rear-mirrors, and to seal the open-handler of the door, but in any case the wind noise decreased. I tried the solution of the ES that someone post here and I think the car is better isolated, but I think my noise is there.
I'm waiting so excited for your photo in order to try that solution. If it works, when I will go to states, I will pay some beers to you, my virtual friend.

I have wind noise after having the clear bra put on. The edge of the clear bra on the driver side starts to make noise at 50mp. It sounded like the B pillar but it wasn't. I'm getting it fixed this week.

Common sources of windnoise are often the door handles, outer mirror, moonroof, and windshield. It is a real challenge to eliminate all sources of windnoise especially as cars become quiter we start to notice noises that we would otherwise never complain about. I don't know how you sealed the door handles, but I would do the process of elimination route by first completely covering all four outside door handles with masking tape. Then take a drive. If the noise is still present, mask off the edges of the sunroof to seal that off and drive again while not removing the tape on the door handles. Do the same for the outer mirror and then seal the door edges. Eventually I am confident you will be able to isolate the noise. I've been able to isolate the wind noise I hear in my car by covering the door handles.

Hey Omarban, sorry I didn't get a chance to post a pic. Just got back from a business trip and couldn't take a pic in time. I will post a pic 2nite of the piece I'm talking about. It might be the problem and might not. I hope I don't forget.
