anybody know why this is happening to me? its not even actually a skip but a sound blip kinda like when you download mp3s that are messed up on purpose.
it plays fine on my computer and all mp3s are of high quality and play clear. i'm kinda **** when it comes to having good mp3 quality so i know its not that.
i've been thinking its because i burned it at 48x or bad quality cd?
its pretty annoying.

if it is all the way through the entire CD, it is most likely because you burned the CD too fast for your computer. Next time you make a CD, close EVERYTHING you can... including any items in the taskbar. press ctl+alt+delete and click "task manager". then click processes. if you see stuff like qtime (quick time), ipodhelper, messenger, or msn stuff, limewire, etc click "end task" on this stuff. your problem is that you have too much other stuff running when you burned the cd and it was trying to use your hard drive as RAM. your HD is much slower than RAM (temporary memory)
--now if the issue is only on a few tracks on the cd, it was probably from whoever created the MP3 file.
there is a "sample rate" on all mp3's. it is the amount of compression that was done. The lower the sample rate in KBPS (kilobytes per second), the lower the quality is of your music.
our vehicles can play anything up to 320kbps i believe, so you couldn't have too good of a file, but you could have downloaded a song that is 96kbps or 128kbps. they are very lossy and anyone can hear the difference from a high compression file compared to a cd. i can easily hear the difference from 192kbps file and a cd but it is very minimal.
one last thing, dont do anything else while burning the cd, like surfing this forum or even play solitaire. finally, get yourself a newwer computer if you can't live with this
