look at it this way, if you can get the OTD price below MSRP, you are in excellent shape

Thats not a good deal at all.

You can EASILY get $5200+ off MSRP an IS250 with nav.

I got around $5300 off my IS250 when I bought it and I don't even have navi.

How much below? $1k below is not excellent. My MSRP was $35,222. OTD price for me was $32,700.

Let me say this, I got my car from Park Place Grapevine and you certainly got a better deal than I did. I got my car last May though.

Cool, I got the quote from Sewell. I might contact Park Place tomorrow and see if they will go lower.

Prices below MSRP vary from area to area. In areas where there isn't the competition you often can't get the dealer to come down as much as people here would have you believe. And if it is a 350 that has a lot of options it is even tougher. It's just like real estate, "Location, location, location". People in CA are spoiled as there are lots of dealers and more competition. In a place like Houston, TX, for example, there are 4 dealers (and 2 are owned by the same company) for a population of 5.5 million. Three competing companies in a population that large does not set the stage for deep discounting. And that is just the way Lexus likes it.

just the fact that there are IS250s that cheap anywhere in the country should be good enough. if i could save a couple of thousand just by buying out of states why not? just pay 800 or so dollars to get it shipped to where you live.

IS250's in east coast, etc. sell for over invoice... typically minimum $500 over and if you get that.. really you scored there... but not for us in Cali... I don't know why but they just sell for below invoice
everyday.
I don't what East Coast your talking about but I bought the same exact car as the original post back in Oct. 2006 for a 2007 is250 MSRP 37752 for 32,200+tax with nav, premium pkg, etc. not much haggling needed either. People still getting same price til this day.

I got my 2006 IS250 with Nav, premium for $33290+TTL in may of last year. When I posted that everyone said I got a killer deal. Do the prices change that much from May of last year?

I got the same question too...I got my other 06 IS250 with nav at around $3k discount in June 06. And it was like at that time. Now I heard people are getting at least $5k discount for the 07 IS250's.

I live in Maryland, just outside of DC, where all of the 250s within a 500 mile radius are AWD. I wanted a RWD 250, but couldn't afford the 350. Therefore, I contacted a dealer in Cali, got a price quote of $1,500 under invoice ... they are doing all of the DMV work ... and having it shipped for about $875 to my front door.

The best price I could find in this area was about $1,700-1,900 over invoice ... for the same car (NAVI, Premium, 18", HIDs).
