Actually buddy, I've owned black cars all my life so has my brother and my dad. My dad currently drives an OBSIDIAN GS so I know quite well the upkeep required for an obsidian colored Lexus. Thanks.

Well then, what are your/his experiences with it? How often does he have to wash it? How bad were the swirl marks, etc, etc? Thats all I wanted to know......

Hmmm, I've yet to see another white one. I've only seen black or dark silver!

I owned a '03 Black IS300.. Loved the car new and when it was clean.. HATED the look when it was dirty and after 53000 miles. I take care of my cars and couldn't avoid the rock chips and swirls.. Therefore when purchasing my 350 I bought the starfire pearl/black interior and LOVE the car. I however think that the black can pull off the stock wheels better than the white, thus my G-Spyders

Color choice is a very individual thing.

I made a choice to choose tungsten/silver cos i believe it best bring out the classiness of the Lexus brand and the contour of the car.

I thought about black nd wouldve gone for it in BMW but in a Lexus, it's too dark a color.

White is ok but it's too simple and plain a color.

Love my Starfire IS350, my last car was black/black.

Here is my other white car, but not too conservative!

IMHO, white is like a blank sheet of paper needing color.

That being said, black pwns.

I agree. Whichever one I get, it definitely has to be black interior. Thanks to the ventilated seats, no need to worry too much about the heat here.

Which are you?

Here is an article about it...
I've had the same car in both black and white, personally, I just wanted a change. I agree on a major basis that those statements are true but in my opinon, cars look their best in black or white.

I have the Obsidian, and in bright sunlight you can see swirlmarks and light scratches but when it's clean it shines like no other color can. White is good for hiding the light scrathes and swirlmarks.
