How about "quality oil is quality oil"? I mean, people are changing their oil at 5,000 mile intervals. I seriously doubt that there is much of a difference between Mobil 1, Amsoil, or other synthetic. There probably isn't a drastic difference between synthetic and dino oil at 5,000 miles -- by drastic I mean enough to shorten the life span of your engine. Now, if you want to run 20,000 mile change intervals, I'd be happy to look at some data (and maybe pay $8 a quart)....

In a 5w-20 oil, the "w" represents winter viscosity. A 0w would provide a lower cold temp pour rate and would not void the warranty unless there was a failure and the Stealer could prove it was caused by the oil. This is not going to happen.
I plan on using this oil with a one year change interval. I will use UOAs (used oil analysis) to make sure the oil is still providing safe protection and in case there is a warrany issue.
Amsoil and Mobil 1 have always ranked as top oils and have consistently showed to provide extended performance. Amsoil has proved to be the leader in extended oil change intervals.
I don't think any Stealer is going to be using synthetic oil or a blend for a regular oil change. They do use synthetics if you are willing to pay the difference.

Lexus of Sacramento uses a Castrol synthetic blend. Maita Toyota of Sacramento uses a Pennzoil synthetic blend.
You will not see a significant performance difference between synthetic brands under ordinary driving conditions. No synthetic is worth the money unless you are either flogging the car or using extended drain intervals.
