What The Hell?!
So i was driving to work when i notice a sound like something was hitting my right front tire. So i think something got stuck under my car. I hit a slight bump and the noise disapears. when i got to work i checked my right front wheel area. Then i noticed the whole inside of my fender is missing. like i can see behind my fog lights and stuff. i was sooo pissed.
So my question is will lexus fix this for free? like i mean its something that i had no clue of. i was pretty suprise that something like that would just come off. i thought a 40k car wouldnt have problems like that.

That's a new one...the liner in your wheel well left the scene, apparently. Did you or the dealer remove it in the past to work on the car? I know some mods require it. I can't imagine why else this would have happened, unless there was previous damage.

I had somewhat of the same thing happen!! I was driving down the road at night and a black piece of rubber snuck up on the right side of my tire and it streched half way across my lane and I ran over it and heard an AWFUL snapping and BAM Pop sound... Ya I dont know how to explain it. I went and checked and damage was to the fender well the plastic part in front of the rear right tire was all bent and had been ripped off. I used one of the plastic button popper things on the hood to put it back together haha.... Not sure if the dealer would replace it for free but im going to ask them too!

Guys, about four days into ownership, one of the pins in the fender area was hanging out. I pushed it back in and everything seems fine so far. My car was a special order with 16 miles. This should not have happened at all, let alone a few days into ownership.

Lexus does not warrant your car to be impervious to road hazards. If you hit something, anything, anywhere, it is your responsibility to fix the problem. Wheel well liners do not come out on their own, and there are an alarming number of fasteners that would have to fail simultaneously for no apparent reason to lose one because of an assembly fault. As simple as they are to install, the likelihood of repair or replacement under warranty is miniscule.

I think "lobuxracer" sumed it up correctly. On a positive note, if there is no other damage, it should be fairly easy to replace it yourself by taking the wheel off and installing a new one with new clips. I can't imagine that thing coming out of the wheel well without you seeing it in the rear view mirror. I've hit stuff on the D.C. beltway and even the smallest peice of trash sounds like a catastrophic failure. Even if you back tracked and found it, it is probably beyond repair. Good Luck!

Thanks guys for your input. I'm actually getting it fixed by my body shop. Your right, i dont think lexus would fix it cause theirs to much that could of happened and they cant be responsible for it.
