Default PLEASE HELP.. burnt out stock xenon bulb

Earlier today i noticed that my headlights were fogging up. Later on today i went into my garage and i noticed that my driver side headlight wasnt working. Is there anyway that the water might have somehow affected it?

Ill prob just take my car into the dealership but before i do i want to try and see if there is someway that ill be able to fix it myself. And how can you tell if the Gas in the HID burnt out? (not sure if "burnt out" is the correct terminology for HID's)

I had that happen with my STi. I had to take the head light apart and make sure everything dried out properly, when it was finally dry it worked fine. I would just take it to the dealer since drying out the headlights/hid units would require removing the bumper, too much work if you ask me.

so is it just because my headlight recognizes water or moisture in the headlight? cause i went to my friends house for him to check it out and it worked fine. but sometimes when i turn the lights on it doesnt work and i have to end up playing with it for it to work.

Wow, the new IS HID housings have moisture problems? I had to replace the housing twice on my 2nd gen GS, but thankfully haven't had this problem with my current GS.

In any event, I'd ask your dealership replace the housing and bulb. Better to get it fixed now before it becomes a bigger problem. Good luck.
