i think you should red out the tails and hten put the smoke overlay on them.. If I had a sgm car then heck yeah that would be the only way. I think for the illegal reasons. If you're just worried about that then just don't modify your car in any way. 'cause if you get ONE speeding ticket, the cops can write you up for EVERYTHING happened to me once it was a field day trying to get everything off and putting all stock back on for the fix it part of the ticket. My suggestion is you smoke it out and drive safe then MOST cops in CA at least don't pull you over randomly

Im not sure what's the thickness of the overlay but you could see and feel a bump where the overlay is. If you do that then smoke it, you'll see a little hump around the redout and I don't think that'll look right. Like window tinting, if you don't clean and prep it properly, and you install the film, you'll see all these dirt particles everywhere in between the film.

Depends on the color scheme of the rest of the car IMO. Since there's isn't any other red on my car I'd prefer smoked.

I've gotten pulled over for tinted lights before... they gave me a 10 dollar fix it ticket.. the weirdest thing is that when the cop signed off on it they didn't even check my car... so I didn't have to take it off... but then again I REALLY sprayed the smoke overlay on there like crazy. if you use the vinyl then it shouldn't affect the light too much

The IS-F has white/clear rear turn signals. Stock on ours is amber.
