HDD in 08 IS?
#16
The info has not been confirm directly by Toyota or Lexus Corp. I got the info from the web. It is also mention in MyIS.com. Supposedly the info was leaked from a top level exec. in Toyota North America. So what can I tell you, if I were you I'll wait 6 months. We will know for sure maybe by August or Sept '07. The best time to buy is @ the end of the months of December and January. That's the time to meet and exceed the anual quota.

And how much more discount can u get if u buy IS at the end of the year (Dec)?

2) That depends on the dealer and salesrep. To meet the quota, sometimes they are willing to go as far as selling a car with 0% comission to the salesperson. Of course, the dealer and salesperson wins in other ways if they meet the quota.

Why don't you ask your dealer? They should know by now.
I'm not for HDD in a car -- how do they cool it? Heating problems would be my biggest concern -- don't want to burn it up, and even then it will probably a 5200 rpm lump of junk. However, a Lexus run by Linux would be awesome.

At least they will have some ways to keep it "reliable" hehe
Kinda trust Lexus...

There is a big possibility the info is false. Look @ his answer. He hasn't given answer about his source or his reliability.

I can't find the link, but I saw your thread @ MyIS.com. Apparently NewIS350 is the same guy that is spreading the word about the inclusion of the HDD in the IS '08.
