Anyone get clear bra installed on your headlights?? Pros and cons?
Hey guys,
I'm planning on getting a clear bra installed at Aerotect soon but their package doesnt include installation on the headlights.
I am thinking that I should get it done on the headlights since that'll probably be a big magnet for rocks and I wouldnt want any scratches or pits on them since I do a lot of freeway driving.
Are there any negatives to doing this? I've only read of the clear bra browning due to the heat of the fogs and headlights. Has anyone who has done this experienced this?
Pleae let me know.
Thanks

I've had mine for a year now with no issues. They still look good. Same with the bra.
Can't say much for the red outs though. My Aerotect rear red outs were never installed correctly by them, and pretty much fell off after a few months.

another question...do any of you feel it is really necessary to get a clear bra on the hood? shouldnt the bumper be enough? I dont see debri hitting the hood specially if you're careful not to tailgate

Hell yes you should do the hood. If your doing the bumper, why not lay out a few more dollars and do it right?

yep... got my clear bra for my headlights and fogs from rvinyl about 2 months ago. i think i paid $50. Did the install myself (very easy) with no problems or bubbles... all you need is a bottle of soapy water to place it right a hair dryer to stretch the film and get it soft, and a very small surgical syringe to suck out fine air bubbles, then your done.

Do the headlight and hood. not the entire hood, but at least 10 inch of the front of the hood.
If you think you can do the headlights, you should do the whole job by yourself, because to me, the headlights were the most difficult part to put the clear bra on.

If aerotect is doing it, just do the whole thing and not worry about it. For aerotect to do the whole hood, bumper and head lights is a lot cheaper than anybody can do 10" of hood and bumper here in Oregon. And from what i've read, they do an excellent job.

I have used the Xpel headlight protectors on all my cars for years.
I have never had a problem and it is good protection from rocks that could cost you a bundle to replace a headlight lense. The install is fairly simple as long as you install in warm weather, above 75 degrees.
