I drove to San Diego last weekend in my 350. With the cruise set at almost 80, I went 385 miles before the light came on. I filled up with 15 gallons.

My all time (I've never reset it) gas mileage is right at 24.8 mpg now. I've got about 22k on the car (maybe more - I don't want to look!)

avg 15mpg. LA gets me mad once in a while, traffic. When traffic clears I stomp on it for 2 gears. 50% of that and 50% of cruising.
I also coast when I see the upcoming light turns red and hope that it will turn green before I brake (I do this only when no cars are behind me).
I am jealous of you 20+ mpg-ers

do you guys have ethanol in your gas?? cause i live in hawaii and i believe our gas is mixed with 10% ethanol and i heard that it effects the mpg and our engine in the long (really long) run..

Yes we have ethanol up to 10%. You lose about 4% on your mileage if you have the full 10% compliment to your gasoline, since ethanol has about 2/3 the specific heat of gasoline.

my gir's IS250 gets average of 450 before she has to go fill up. Her last tank she went to 480!!

I'm at an average of 19.5 now, with 95% city, and with some spirited driving. Otherwise I can pull off about mid 20s with conservative driving and lots of coasting. All highway after the car has warmed, I've pulled off a best of 31mpg.

How are you getting that kind of mileage?

My round trip to work and back is roughly 80 miles with 4 total combined stop. The stop sign two and from my street then the intersection to get onto the interstate.

I really want to know your secret. I get 364 before the light comes on and thats if I am being nice to the car. I AVG 26 mpg doing an average of 80 - 85 mph on the way to work. Maybe I really do need to slow down to 70 to see that type of mileage. Thats crazy.. or you gotta be driving less than 70 mph.

Ambient temperatures? How do the temps in Mississippi compare with those in southern California?

There's about 3 mpg difference between 70-75 and 80-85. I've tried both.
