Default Gas Mileage in IS350

I just purchased a black IS350 2 weeks ago. I have to admit the first 2 days I was pretty heavy on the gas but since then I've been getting around 14-15 MPG according to my display. I purchased the car with 12 miles on it and it has a few hundred now. I was wondering what other people are seeing? I live really close to work and don't drive long distances so I'm sure that contributes in some way.

To give you guys an idea, I drove a WRX before this and only had to fill up around once a month. In the 350 I might have to fill up every week if I keep getting the same mileage. Thats one hell of a difference.

14-15mpg?? Rock on brother Once you start driving like a sane person you should see around 19-21 mpg. I seem to get around 21-22.

I get around 21-22 in city driving with at least one daily full throttle burst to get around traffic.

Try resetting your mpg average by holding the Disp button down for a sec. You cannot reset the tank average.

I'm getting about 24mpg tank average, 50/50 city-hiway;
I gas it a bit --- but coast when I see a stop sign or red light way ahead (prevents brake dust too).

yeah ive noticed that im not getting no more than 15mpg... could it be because of the 10% ethanol in the gas...

Please let your car break in before you start driving hard. I get around 17.5 City, not sure about freeway. I don't even care about the gas, its something you need, so why stress about it???

Gotta admit that highway saves mad gasoline, I can get mine up to 35.4 by driving Highway for two hours. But ya you need to do more high to get a better avg mpg. I got like 10-11 by doing local which blows

local i can get as low as 12mpg cause i'm 0.8 miles from work ( i don't drive everyday.. i skateboard to work when it's not raining). The lights really hit me hard... anyhow on highway i can get up to 26.5 going to vegas averagin 90mpg. Now if it's a a mix between local and highway i can get around 23~24...

so yes local does suck.. i don't drive hard going to work...

with 50/50 city/highway i get a good 20.5-21. i think our gas gauge however really is wrong because close to the e is about 320 miles which means its really conservative with a large reserve or my gauge is messed up.
