Canadian 2IS's Pulling/Veering?
I have a pulling problem on my IS250 AWD. Its been over at the dealership for 3 times now and they've never found what the problem is. I've informed them time and time again that some of the guys on the Club Lexus forum had their tires change to correct this issue. The dealership told me that they haven't heard of any 2IS's pulling or veering left or right in Canada...and they're waiting to see if this problem is persistent with other owners as the months go on.
Well, I test drove a brand new IS250 AWD, exactly the same car as mine...and low and behold, it pulls to the left, just like my car! The technician was baffled, the GM was shocked...I was laughing!
I'm glad to know that its not just my car that is pulling. Are there any other Canadian owners that have this problem? If so, what has been done?
I know this issue has been brought up before, but I'm just wondering if this problem exhist with Canadian owners as well....kinda stupid that I even have to ask this.
But I'm a bit dissapointed that I spent $50,000 on a car that doesn't drive straight.

Our 250 AWD (6k miles now) tracks quite well, except for a little tram-lining on occasion. We are running the stock Bridgestone all season tires that came with the IS. Do the Canadian IS's come with different rubber?

The Tires that are on my AWD are Dunlop Sport Maxx's. I might ask them to switch over to the Bridgestones.

Well, ultimately the dealership has to approve the cost to replace the tires. They've submitted a claim with Lexus Canada and waiting for their authorization, or a direction as to what they should be looking at to correct this problem. I hope I hear back soon.

My AWD doesn't pull left or right. Right now I am on Winters, but even on the Dunlops that came with the car it was very straight. I only have about 1k on the dunlops before I changed them over to my winters, so maybe when I put some more KMs on after I put them back on the car this Friday I will notice the problem.

There is a US TSIB covering this, but our Canadian service managers don't consider these applicable. You need to change tires if alignment does not cure the problem.
