Default Help me out guys, I'm thinking about getting black IS 250

Anybody regret getting obsidian black? How's the paint quality for Lexus and does it have bad swirl marks. I had a black G35 and it had black swirl marks after washing. So for those of you who own the black IS, do you like it or do you wish you bought another color?

Black not just a color...its a commitment. I have to wipe mine down twice a week and wash once.

I wanted white/black but those are rare.

no regrets. I had a clear bra put on mine just because black tends to show the chips on the bumper and/or hood a little more. Just make sure you take care of it and you WILL be happy. Make sure you wax it good.

FYI don't let bird poo stay on it too long in the sun. That does leave a stain until you can buff it out. It hasn't happen to me yet but I have heard about it.
Just remember once you go . . . oh you get it =)
Good luck.

I have no regrets. I think it's one of the best looking colors on this car . I have some swirls, but that was because I was dumb enough to take it to a regular car wash and they messed it up. I've washed it myself ever since. I'm waiting a few more weeks to take to a detailer.

I don't think you will regret it

at times i do regret it, but after i wash/wax it, i forget all about it.

Visit detailing forums such as meguiars and autopia to learn proper car care techniques or get it detailed once in a while to keep the black looking at its best.
