^^ Everything that Homer said...

But, I wanted to add that my refund was "non-refundable"... But, as Homer said, they can't really keep your money, especially if you do it via credit card...

I did my deposit via credit card and they never even charged the deposit... But even if they did, you can dispute it if you decide not to buy the car and get your money back...

I ordered mine in Sept. 06 for a 07 IS350. I placed a$2500.00 deposit because I wanted to show the dealer that I was serious and will not withdraw if they give me a good deal. I feel that a "good deal" is the price that you want to pay after your research "out the door". Don't listen to your friend who tells you that they can get a better deal than you. "They are NOT the buyer" and they are full of it!
I got mine $500.00 below MSRP (window sticker) "out the door"(tax+license fee+destination). That is a good deal because I didn't pay full pop and I got what I wanted in a short period of time.

I tried to special order an 06 back in April but Toyota's employee order sheet said 06s were no longer available for special order, because our orders are made in the factory, we can't take a dealer allocated car and claim it, and that I'd have to wait until the 07 list was updated. Took until July 15th for it to be updated for special order. Finally got my car in mid October. Was one hellva a wait. 6+ months from when I orginally wanted to order it, but I figured "Hey I got an 07." Next time I'll know when to order a car. Try to stay away from May-July orderering as that is typically when MY are changing and delays just stack up. Guess you guys who order from a dealer get a better deal on wait time than Toyota's own employees haha.

As an employee, you get the car at invoice right? Or do you get it below invoice?

Depending on MSRP, a base 250 would be about a thousand under invoice, but a fully loaded 350 about 1,800 under.

Ok. It is the weekend so not so much shopping but I spoke to a lady about the 350 on Friday. She was quoting me 37800-38500. Not including tax and all the fees. That was with the first package they offered. The base on it is 36k so that was not to bad.

Well my mother in law bought a es 350 2007 with the first package that is 3972.00. the base msrp on the es is 34185. well she ended up getting the vehcile at 35,600, and that includes the 3,972 package, plus tax, and fees and left at 37000 even out the door for the es350 with the first package.

what do you guys think, possible if i bring her along? i mean the base msrp es is 33k. the package is almost 4k and tax and fees near 2500k. they should have left near 39500-40000 but instead saved 2500-3000.

msrp for the is 350 = 36k. i want hid plus maybe a spoiler. no more then a grand of extras. plus 2k in tax. so if i can get the same deal then i should be able to get it for 36500-37000 with taxes and my little custom package. yes, no ?

I have special ordered an IS350 in Feb.

They wanted $3000 deposit for the fully loaded car I ordered. I gave them plastic, but they never charged it. Probably just queried the card or put a hold on it.

I got $1700 of MSRP.
