Driving an IS300, I would recommend getting the AWD.

I put on good winter tires and I still can have trouble sometimes, even driving like a grandma.

I think Toronto has been spoiled from lack of snow lately and we forget the horrors of fishtailing. (The last two winters were pretty mild).

I've seen many G35s getting stuck on hills this winter, which reminds me if you are not experienced, be careful of RWD.

Snow tires help, but its no substitute for good driving.

On an interesting note, I saw an STi drive by me at 80 km/hr when I was driving 30.

By good winter tires, you mean the ones that have a pic of a mountain with a snow flake in it on the side wall,............right?!

Last time I checked, pilot alpin PA2 are winters.

You did not state what tires you were using in your original post. At least you know what to look for
