The day after I bought it I waxed both car and wheels, put protectant on the door, trunk and engine compartment weather stripping, rain-X the windows, scotch guarded the carpet, floor and trunk mats and conditioned the leather with Meguiars leather wipes. I feared liquid leather conditioner would clog the holes in the seats.

back to the original question: dealership told me 5 years without waxing**
**but there's a catch! This is if you purchase the Supercare package which includes a sealant for paint and scotch guard solution applied to interior leather. It is supposed to keep the "luster" of the paint, and should hold up for 5 years.
I wouldn't have gotten it if it didn't end up being "free" with all the other costs... they kinda threw it in cos I was being a good sport at the dealership, i guess.
The car feels like its been claybarred-- so smooth, scuffs can be rubbed off with my fingertip.

The day after I picked it up and drove it 300 miles home...but I did it to prep for the clear bra installation.
First full wax will be done next week, so that's 8 months. Usually every Spring and Fall. Always hand wash on black soft paint

I'd like to know whats the acrylic wax you guys are peaking of. I have had the car for 5 months now only been driven about 2,000 miles it stays in the garage covered alot. Whats the best brand name to use.

Purchased Nov 18th 2006 and waxed w/ Mother's showcar glaze and NXT over it the next Thursday Nov 23rd. Jersey was extremely warm this year giving me a chance to get a coat on her at least every 2 weeks. I love it when she shines. Nothing like a nice white car at night. Sooo sexy.

I waited one week after the clear bra was put on then washed, clayed, polished(final polish), polished(Klasse AIO), glazed(Red Moose Glaze), waxed(Collinite) and put a second coat of wax(poorboys Natty blue paste). I have done this about every 6 months and while washing every other week and spraying a OCW wax on after each wash. Every 3-4 months I re-wax with collinite and Nattys. Obsessive, probably but I just love the way it looks everytime I get in it. 20K miles later it still shines better then the day it left the lot, and I still get excited to hop in it.
