I had a good experience dealing directly with the sales manager at Highland Park Lexus. I didn't see many/any used IS350s when I bought mine in August 2006 but he gave me a good deal on a new one with exactly the options I wanted.

And by good deal you mean below invoice?

I dont' think woodfield has any used IS350's right now. Arlington, from my experience, matched the best prices I could get anywhere else, plus they're the closest to where my parents live. Again, that's on new cars. Not much to compare when you're looking for Used.

And I don't think many people can get below invoice around here... you probably meant under MSRP...

No I meant below invoice but I know that is nearly impossible. But you're right about selection of used IS350s; not many out there to choose from. We'll see what I can get. I'll let you guys know.

Well, not that lucky but I felt like it was a reasonable deal at the time. MSRP was 45k, Invoice 39.5k, and I got it for a little under 41k including mats, cargo net, and tints.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm still looking but thats only because I really want a Matador Red IS350 with either Cashmere or Sterling interior and the lexury package. I was able to negotiate a couple pretty good deals but I decided not to buy because the color just wasn't what I wanted.

Be sure to check out Lujacks.com
They are in the Quad Cities (Davenport, IA)
I bought mine there, and they have great service.

They don't have any pre-owned.

obvilionis, for the price you are paying, you can get a new one, that is if you can find one at invoice.

Actually, the dealer at woodfield lexus said he is very willing to work with me on the price. He verbally said a couple of hundred dollars above invoice. I'm also seriously considering getting one now. However, I'm flying tomorrow on an international business trip and won't be back until April 18. I was thinking maybe we can both go hussle that guy to further lower down their prices (that is if I decided to finally get one), you know, get 2 cars from that guy.

FYI, I forgot where I read it. The IS350 ain't selling as well as they are expected, and they are more willing to negiotate the price.

That's if you can find them. Not too many 350's in the area. I was at Bredemann today and saw one blue IS350, the rest were all 250's they had at least 12-15 250's.

Hi,
I am ready to purchase a IS 350 in Tungsten Pearl - Base Model MSRP $36,420. What are the chances that these dealerships have that in stock? I'm willing to go up to $35K.

Honestly, probably zero chance. Its pretty hard to find ANY model car from any dealer that has no options much less an IS350 which tends to have at least one large option package slapped onto it by default regardless of region. Special order could get you a base model but not sure if you'll get as good of a discount. Might be worth looking at the IS250 or a car w/ more value for money if price is a big concern.

That might be a good idea. I'm sure he will be more willing to sell two cars at smaller profit than just one. The only hurdle will be finding the exact cars we want. Send me a PM when you return from your business trip and we can go together to see what kind of deal we can get.
