Default Purchasing New IS 250 AWD-Expected Price

I'm currently in the market for a 2007 IS250 AWD.
I'm looking to get the following features:
Navigation
Xenon
Rear Spoiler
Park Assist
XM Radio
Wood Interior
All weather Mats

The only dealership I have contacted so far is Bredemann Lexus in Glenview, IL (Chicagoland area) and of course they are giving me a BS figure $38,166 and saying they need to make at least $1,200 on the deal. They are telling me the the base price for the car is 35,986 well.....what ever happened to the invoice price of about 30,168 (edmunds) and 30,883 (kbb) I' like to know what I should expect to pay for the car with these options.
Thanx for all your help.

Daisy,

The price on edmunds and kbb seem to be one without most of the options you listed. I bought an IS250 RWD in January with ALL the options in the regional package for So Cal (see my sig - wood interior, HID, Nav/XM, etc) and the edmunds invoice that I came up with was $32844 + XM (~$400) = $33244. The dealer quoted his invoice at $33354 + XM (~$400) = $33754. The MSRP of my car is $38258 (from Lexus.com).

I got my car for a few hundred dollars less than $33k (not including TTL). Keep in mind I'm in So Cal, where you can spit out your car window and hit a IS250. Dealers are willing to deal if they have the car you want in stock.

To top it off, you are asking for the parking assist option - I believe this to be a factory order only option. If you require this option, it will add significantly to your price AND put all the power in the dealer's hands since they have to special order it for you. The AW mats you can get for like 70-80 bucks off ebay (Park Place).

I don't know what the market is like in the Midwest - so I can't give you an accurate estimate there. But, my numbers will give you a rough estimate.

Good luck!

In the midwest you may well have to give the dealer a $1,200 profit. Depends on how sharp you can negotiate. You need to sharpen up the true invoice price as your numbers aren't including the options you want. Once you have that number negotiate up from that amount, and NOT down from the MSRP.

try edmands.com. you can price out the car with what it is at invoice and MSRP side by side right on the website and it is spot on. Kbb.com also has something similar. but both my dads GS350 and my IS spec'd out at MSRP that was the sticker on the car and invoice at the dealer was invoice on edmunds.

I've pretty much negitiated the price to $37,000 including all of my features. Now the dealer is having trouble locating the color combination I want: Starfire Pearl w/black interior.

^ My invoice was 30,166 + nav package. and the dealer added park assist,xm & rear spoiler for the total price of 37,000 that included the 1,500 over invoice for the dealer but I got the 3 extra features that I'd have to pay for seperately(which probably would have amounted to the 1,500 anyways). I was @ 40,200 with taxes/doc's & registration. And BWT I love the car

I had to pay an additional 815 because the only place the found my color combination was in PA at another dealership and they were trading a car.that was fine because I really wanted the Starfire Pearl with black interior.
