It all depends on your priorities. If you're going for looks, 19's. If you're going for performance, stick with 18's. In general, the bigger the wheels, the heavier they'll be and acceleration, braking, handling, mpg, etc., will all suffer slightly.
Other considerations:
1. quality of roads should play a role. Don't know the condition of the roads in Australia but if you have crappy roads with potholes, then 18's might be the way to go.
2. ride quality: the lower the profile, the stiffer/harsher the ride will be.

Yeah. Unsprung rotational weight is the worst kind.

depends on what size tires you go with, i would say my tires size is the same as the 19" tires i ran, maybe a little bit smaller. I ran the OEM front on a 18x8.5 and a 265/35 rear on a 18x9.5 and i would say the ride quality and side wall are pretty much similar.
and yes, people dont know how much the unsprung wieght can effect your performance.
Besides with a full face rim like the Xt7 the overall visal effect is about the same as a 19" rim with a deep lip. actually looks bigger if you ask me.

I think the OP doesn't want to have his car dropped.
IMO, 20's look best if there are no drops, but there are sacrifices to be made.
One of them being that like 99% of 20's rub in the front .

19s ...you'll love the way they look and they won't (IMO) compromise the ride. I went with 20's and have no regrets; it' a whole new car. The only problem I see is Road Hazards...

Ace Manta's, I believe.
They don't come in staggered sizes though ...
Plus, I if you're gonna go after market, why get something that looks exactly like OEM rims ?
Just my opinion...

They're not exactly like oem and i know what u're trying to say. It's one of the rims i like cos i think they really suit the car. I don't know if they come in 19s over here though.
Is that 18 or 19?

18s for performance, 19s for looks.
In fact, 18s beat out 19s in literally EVERY SINGLE aspect except appearance, and even that is subjective: 18s are cheaper wheels, with cheaper tires (and you can continue to use stock tires), give better ride quality, are lighter, have less rotational inertia, and provide reduced gearing.
I personally am going with 18s, but I have a drop... not that it probably would have made any difference.
