Default 18's that look like 19's theory

First off, I wanna say hello to everyone, I just purchased my 07 IS250 awd last week. I came from my last 6 cars being sports cars with manual trannys, most recently an 03 350Z. I decided to go the auto route because my left calf muscle is getting huge haha j/k. I just wanted to try something different and Im excited to learn and hopefully share more about the IS. Ok enough with that.....

I have some thoughts about wheel sizes for those of you who have the IS250 esp. for awd owners since we dont have a staggered setup (which is pretty much all they have here in NJ). If you get certain 18's they can look like some of the 19's out there. These days it seems like 90% of wheel buyers buy them with lips which make them look 1" smaller. There are also some that have lips and spokes that go inwards that make it look 2" smaller. If you dont mind not having a lip (which I dont esp. because I have an is250 awd) I think finding 18's that have spokes that go all the way out might be a better option. You can keep the cost/weight low, rotate your wheels and still achieve the look. I'll post examples below. Also if anyone else has other suggestions/thought that would be great. Hope this helps!

PS- Im sure most of you know this already but I didnt wanna just post a simple hi haha.

Any rims with lips will look smaller than ones without, given that they are both the same diameter.

especially if they are staggered.

if you are getting 18"s i would recomend getting what they call a full face rim, no lip.
