Default I was offered a deal and would like to know what everyone thinks

A dealer offered me a IS 250 RWD with navigation, accesory preferred package, 18' wheels with summer tires, premium plus package, and HID.

on edmunds msrp is 37,772 invoice is 32,844.

she will give me the car 34,980 this does not include tt&l.

2136 over invoice 2792 under msrp.

i am still awaiting to see what some of the other dealers will give. if they can beat that price

I don't know what the prices are like in Texas, but a lot of people pay invoice price, if not less.

Thats a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, we paid the Edmund's price back in July of '06.

Did you get any other "options" ie lifetime tire replacement, "solar protection", low jack, etc. My friend was offered $5800 below invoice last week but she had to buy at least one dealer package option. Needless to say she bought SEVERAL packages. Smarty dealer. If she only knew....

Called up my friend and she said she gave me wrong info. She insisted it was $5800 below invoice but it was actually $5800 below MSRP. Anyways, she ended up paying $40K+ with all the dealer packages (not car options).

I always pass on the "Finance Guy" extras that line his pockets. I understand it is your job, but NOOOO THANK YOU. Yes - I know it's a "good deal", FOR YOU.

How much do you want to pay? If you tell her 34.500 she will say yes.here in texas we dont get a lot of discounts off the IS .If you can get 3500 off MSRP you got your self a great deal here in south texas.

Well I know for sure I can get you this car from Southern California- Los Angeles Area for no more than $32,000.00 plus taxes/license and fees.

Any informed buyer here pays "Dealer Invoice and Lower".

But So Cal is over supply heaven on IS250's....
When you say "no more than $32,000", how low you seen this go? $31K flat? What will be the OTD cost aprox?

Do you know aproximately the cost for transporting the IS from So Cal to FL???

Guess what? Texas is not California, so you can't directly compare the two. CA has Lexus dealers all over the place, TX not so much. My empirical evidence shows that the CA type deals are not prevalent in TX. That's not to say you can't score a sharp deal in TX if you walk in at the right time and are a good negotiator, but TX dealers are NOT selling IS's for invoice or less as a rule. Like real estate, it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Even today you don't see that many IS's on the road in TX, compared to CA.

If you are buying on price only it could be feasible to buy in CA and drive, or ship it back. But most buyers don't have the time, or want the hassle, to do that. Convenience has its price.

That is a terrible price... You should be paying invoice for that car... Keep looking... Email more dealerships... You may have to drive a few hours away to pick your car up... Heck, worst case you could buy the car from a dealership all the way in california, save $2500, and then spend the $600 to have the car delivered to you... You would save $1900...

Food for thought man... Food for thought...

Thats a bad deal actually. You can get 5300-6000k off an IS250 right now.

My MSRP was $35,222
Paid $30,120
After taxes/fees $32,700.

This is 1000 below invoice.
