Default Wheel test (no need to thank me)

This morning, in the McDonalds parking lot, I decided to see what would happen if I drove over the curb at about 12 or 15 mph at about a 75 degree angle. I'd always heard that these low profile rims were weak, so I turned left sometime just before the point where awake people without their head up their a** normally turn. So, I parked, checked it out (without my glasses, since I didn't want to see it too clearly.) Looked okay. So, I took it for a spin on the freeway. It appears that Lexus uses some wheels made out of some kind of metal alloy that can take a licking and keep on ticking! So far, so good, anyway!

p.s. Kids, I don't recommend you try this at home.

I did the same thing. Didn't hurt the whell at all. But I barely touched one of the other ones and put a little spot of rash on it. So, if your going o hit them, hit them hard.

I didn't think to check whether I broke the concrete.

I would get that tire checked the next time you need to rotate your tires.

You could well have weaken/damaged the steel belt that holds up the sidewall. I had a similar experience as you but hitting a pothole - no apparent damage and no wheel vibrations on the highway for another 3,000 miles.. then one day that same tire just blew up while driving on the street. The tire shop told me there was internal damage and it took sometime for the internal structure to fail and then suddenly disintegrating while under load.

Hope your tires are okay.

the wheels are made by Enkei. That means they are build with the highest quality.

No, the G-Spiders and ISPs are made by Enkei. Not sure who makes the OEM 17 & 18" rims . . .

I'll keep an eye out for problems, but I won't get my tires rotated on my 350, unless I leave the house without coffee again, with my head in that dark place.
