Default is this a pop quiz?

i believe that the "2nd" refers to an alternate setting that is not configured/set up for the tire pressure monitors. if you go to 2nd, the computer doesnt know whats going on and thinks the tire pressure monitor system is broken. as the "main" one IS configured, the warning light goes away....as the french would say....VOILAR

is was told by the dealer that this warning has to do with a second set of tires (i.e. summer vs. winter tires). the service advisor said that the setting should be on "primary" which is for the factory tires. the manual also covers this topic.

i'm not sure if it is main or primary, but if you leave it in that, you yourself said that it goes away, right? i guess if you really REALLY are annoyed by something that you can't see, you can have them set up the second setting - not sure if you can do it yourself. IMO, its like your mama said when you were little, "don't touch it, just leave it alone!" I'll let you decide what the IT is...

Take it to the dealer, they will check your psi for the tire and put more air if needed, then its gonna go away. When I got my Lexus I had that light and they fixed in 20 sec?

Here is a dump question. Which tires are the second tire?

its not the second tire he's talking about, its the setting next to your steering wheel, if you press the middle button you will see MAIN, 2ND for the tire pressure. I don't have a pic but the setting buttons is on the steering wheel

thats just it, there ARE NO second tires- it refers to a second setting for tires you dont have, or a second setting for the tires you do have, with a different set of parameters for the same tires - confusing?!?!

i guess what someone posted earlier would apply...if you had a set of winter tires, the sensors could be put in those tires and set up on the 2nd setting to warn you that they are low at a different psi than your summer tires. as you live in california, you probably won't ever have winter tires and there is no need for us to have two different settings. you could theoretically have the second setting made the same as the main and not have to worry about it any more....or just leave it on main...like momma said, "dont touch it, stop playing with it, ya little pervert!"
