Do a little research on Edmunds.com, or one of the other car sites, and work up the dealer invoice price. Then go to the dealers and start haggling at the invoice price. 250's are in plentiful supply in CA and dealers are willing to deal aggressively to get them moving off the lot.

My heart was set on the Acura TSX 6spd with Navi, but when I saw the fine lines of the IS I knew I need to check one out in person. Sure enough I was offered a really good deal on the IS250 6spd base in Silver, Black, or Grey. This sucks because my first and only choice was white.
So here is my situation,
Base IS250 6spd in Silver, Black or Grey or Fully loaded TSX 6pd or Base WHITE IS250 in AT? Oh the decisions.
What are the pro and cons of the 6spd vs AT in the IS and why does the AT yield better gas mileage than the 6spd. Why would you pick the IS250 over the loaded TSX?
Thanks

If you lean toward luxury, the IS250 with Automatic would be the choice. I have not myself driven the IS250 manual, but I have read that it is not Honda (Acura) precise. The Lexus, with its 6-Speed Automatic has a super short first gear which makes it step off the line much quicker than the TSX automatic. The IS feels more laid back, more comfortable. The IS is quiet all the time. I find myself going 80 and it barely feels like 55.
As far as drive wheels, I don't care for front wheel drive, so the Lexus gets a nod, BUT I can tell you that in my IS250(AWD), I can get the tail to break loose around corners, but the second it does, the (expletive deleted) traction control and skid control go into fits and kill the fun, instantly. Total bummer. Makes me wonder if I would prefer front wheel drive without these stupid controls, or at least easily defeatable controls. With these 2 choices (TSX vs. IS), it seems that neither makes enough power to matter all that much.
As for price... As with all things in life, you get what you pay for. The TSX offers alot of standard equipment for the price, while the IS offers cutting edge mechanicals. I spent alot of time studying the Value equation of the Lexus IS and the TSX. I found that you have to really dig deep into features and mechanical specifications to see the value in the Lexus. Both cars offer huge value for the dollar. The Lexus is the runaway value if you value cutting edge mechanicals. The TSX id the runaway value is you want maximum comfort and convience features for the dollar. The Lexus offers Direct fuel injection, 6-Speed automatic, V6, keyless entry and starting, RWD based platform, available features like pre-collision, park assist, backup camera, radar based automatic cruise control, Mark Levinson Audio with Dolby 7.1, etc.
