The rattle in the B pillar drivers side is starting to drive me insane. At my next oil change they are going to look at that and the dash rattle near the driver's side air vent. They removed the dash and the rattle came back a few days later! I link it to cold weather but still!

For those who did the DIY for the center speaker dash rattle, how long did it take you to do this? Was it hard? I'm seriously debating it to do it myself as I don't trust the dealer with it.
Are there any docs or is there any info you can provide to remove the dash?
Underneath the front passenger side seat rattles too. I think I might remove that as well and check it out.

Does it seem like people with Navi complain about the dashboard rattle and people w/o Navi dont have any dashboard rattles?
I dont know Navi and my IS is rattle free.

Thanks, I was looking right at it but didn't notice the date on the top right corner. Born in August 06. What a coincidence, I was born in August as well. I don't rattle, I only creak. So far the car does neither.

If the shelf looks normal, in other words, if the side of the shelf makes a 90 degree angle with the bottom of the glove compartment, it's in place. If not, then there's a little slit (or holes, I forgot) where it should be snapped in. You should be able to tell immediately if the shelf popped out.

Passenger Window rattle(most likely from tint)
Sunroof Rattle(had a tech drive with me, noticed it, sounded like a piece of metal pinging and hitting some other metal). Went away on its own.
Tech said warm weather helps get rid of rattles/squeaks. Good thing my IS is garaged and the Bay Area has warm weather.

mine was from the sunroof. I could hear it more when I pulled the moonroof shade open. At first I couldn't figure out where it was from, but then I just pulled the moonroof shade open(moonroof was still closed so no extra noise), and I could definitely conclude it was the sunroof. But it went away.
