Hey guys,
From what it looks like somebody tried to key the paint on my hood but instead put a scratch on my Ventureshield clear bra that is pretty noticeable. I would assume this isn't covered in the Ventureshield warranty, am I right? Basically I'm wondering what's the best thing I can do here...I just got my car a couple months ago. Should I get the bra replaced or can i smooth it out or anything? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
ry729

I had some minor scratches in my 3M clear bra. The installer told me a bit of rubbing alcohol would take care of it...and it did. Make sure its the 70% stuff - the more concentrate stuff can do damge

Yep, clear bras are great.
I'd ask your installer before using anything to try and take out the scratch. I personally just redid my hood with wax and a buffer and took out any scratch indications.

NO ALCOHOL! Try Corona with lime!
Wrong using with chemical cleaner may cause more stains on your clearbra.
I did this kind of repair in my shop a few times already... Use a heat gun and a polisher rubbing with wax. Temperture is the very critical.

are clear bras noticeable?
do they cover the whole front or just half way?
i have soo many rock chips as of this week on my hood
was thinking of waxing and getting one placed on.
im just afraid it will show a clear line half way on the hood.

some shops can do the whole hood but I don't think it's needed. You will notice the "cut off" line on the hood on dark colored cars. Some installer do a better job of making the line less visible.
If you can GET ONE. It's great.
