Default Got the brake TSB done- and did a lot check- NO IS350s on LOT and G-Spyders are HOT

Got the TSB done- brakes feel the same too me- I have not driven the car really hard yet- but I dont really drive it that hard anyways- for day to day normal driving though- no difference in pedal feel-

Ill update everyone on brake dust after a week-

I walked the lot also to check out the new IS's- NOT A SINGLE 350 ON THE LOT- where are all of the 350's at? when I bought mine, half the cars on the lot were 350s-Lexus of Mission Viejo is So Cal is the dealer-

They also had a black 250 with G Spyders, front lip and spoiler and OMG

I dont think the G-Spyders are very photogenic because when I see pictures on the car I am OK

When I see the wheel not on the car I am like

Then when I saw this car I was like

I think I am going to have to get me some of them-

I've had my brakes on for about two/three weeks.

Let me say they are awesome and brake dust is down. I didn't wash my car for two week and let me just say the brake dust wasn't NEARLY as bad as before. I wish I would have taken pictures.. Chip clearly would have won the dirtiest IS award.. red mud everywhere!

I hate to highjack but I must add Auto-butler service is phenominal. The car still has its mirror like finish. I'll post pics of my brake dust and car when I can so you guys can see. If you are concerned about brake dust then get the TSB done. IMO the car stops so much easier, there is no more groaning and pedal feels alot firmer. You really can't tell the difference. I've had to do a few quick stops and frankly it felt just as good as before. But only time will tell and I'm not expert!

What does TSB stand for? I'm thinking my 06 IS might need that too when I go in for my 5k service and how do I request that?

I think TSB stands for Technical Service Bulletin

How many miles are on your car? I can't imagine the pedal feel being better unless they bled / flushed your brake system.

My car is just shy of 16k miles. I like to drive. Plus my commute is ridiculous. And to me if feels firmer, like I said I'm no expert -- but as others have said I really couldn't tell a difference as I left the dealership that day and on hard stops the brake seems firmer.

I had the TSB (Toyota Service Bulletin) for the brakes done a week ago and I agree that the brakes feel the same (under normal/spirited driving) but they produce far less dust. In 1 week I can barely see any dust. With the old pads (original) the wheels were really dirty in 2 days. I highly recommend getting this TSB done.

Well, 350s in SoCal sell in a day or two. The demand for them have been crazy in SoCal, and they sell for near MSRP.

The 250s do not sell as well, and people can get much better deals.

I think this is a good plan for Lexus, making very few IS350. Keep the IS250 approachable to entry level buyers for Lexus, but keep the IS350 rare so that the cars remain highly desired, keeping resale values high.

Very few IS350's in Texas either at the present time.

Agree the G-Spiders look much better in person than the pics indicate.
